The Autobiography of a Flea was first published in 1887,
anonymously - but the author was later revealed to be the London
lawyer, Stanislas de Rhodes. Inspiring a film which starred the
inimitable John C Holmes and directed by one of the first female
pornographic directors from the 1970's, it is recognised as a
classic example of the x-rated cinema genre.
This novel is narrated by the smallest of voyeur of them all, who
uses his size to avenge Bella's misfortune, revealing the sordid
details of the priest's inner sanctum.
